Additional information
Modem and broadband versions
The two versions of the site offer the same features, but the modem version has a smaller map so download times are kept to a minimum.
If you use a dial-up modem, the site may take a few minutes to load the first time. As this is a website packed with useful features, we hope you agree it's worth the wait.
Your choice of modem or broadband version will be remembered next time you access the site. (This information is stored in a 'cookie').
Javascript and frames need to be turned on
Javascript and frames are turned on by default on recent browsers, so you should not need to change any settings.
Pop-up blocking needs to be turned off
Pop-up blocking stops unwanted advertising windows from appearing. The nomad site puts pop-up windows to good use, so you will need to turn off pop-up blocking.
You may have pop-up blocking switched on as part of your browser (e.g. Pop-up blocker for Internet Explorer 6 from Windows XP, Netscape 7, AOL), or it may be a feature of a programme or toolbar you have downloaded (e.g. Google toolbar, Yahoo toolbar).
Consult the relevant documentation to switch off pop-up blocking, or put *.nottinghamcity.gov.uk in the 'White list' so that pop-up windows are allowed on this site.

Screen resolution
The resolution of your screen needs to be set to at least 800 pixels (wide) by 600 pixels (tall) for the nomad site to work. To change your screen settings, right-click the mouse on the empty desktop, choose 'Properties', choose the 'Settings' tab, and change the 'Screen resolution' to at least 800 by 600.
